Newport Coast is known as the “Pacific Riviera”, a prestigious residential area that is made up of numerous individually named neighborhoods (most of which are gated communities).  Located between Newport Beach and Corona del Mar to the west and Laguna Beach to the east, the entire area of Newport Coast encompasses about 9,432 acres, 75% of which is dedicated to open space and golf course usage.  The most recent count estimates the population at approximately 4,200 residents.  

Development started in Newport Coast in the 1990’s and featured pristine, single entry, gated communities from the coastal canyons down to the Pacific Ocean.  Perched above Pacific Coast Highway and overlooking the Pacific Ocean, “Crystal Cove” is one of the newest communities in Newport Coast.  There are several custom estate home communities located within Newport Coast as well.  With an abundance of scenic views of the Orange coast and the surrounding serene canyons of the San Joaquin Hills, the area is perfectly situated to take advantage of a "relaxed" California coastal lifestyle.  The architectural style of the homes ranges from Italian Villas to French Tuscan with other European influences offered.  Luscious, meticulosly maintained landscaping and paved walking trails throughout further enhance the European theme of the area without distracting from the beauty of the natural terrain.       

Newport Coast’s Pelican Hills Golf Club is the home of two award winning golf courses, a spectacular pro shop, and top notch instructor’s center.  The Ocean North Course and The Ocean South Course each offer players of all abilities the opportunity to play and enjoy two of the most beautiful and challenging courses in the world. Both courses were designed by famed architect, Tom Fazio.

Nearby Coastal Canyon Association Park includes a swim center with a junior Olympic-sized pool, large spa and children’s wading pool, a 2400 square foot community building with a full service kitchen, a 1,500 square foot terrace with built-in barbeque and bench seating areas arranged around a beautiful central courtyard fountain, and a tennis area including three regulation lighted courts. There is also a fun themed tot-lot,  multi turf area, and a playing field.  Many of the individual neighborhoods also offer Association pools, spas and play areas within their own gated communities.  You will find all the amenities of a "world-class" destination in Newport Coast.

There is a wide variety of residential real estate available in Newport Coast ranging in size from 2-bedroom, 1,200 square foot condominiums to palatial ocean view estates that are located within very secure, 24 hour guard-gated communities. "Pelican Point" is an exclusive oceanfront community made up of spacious custom homes located on estate sized lots.  Most of the residences throughout Newport Coast were constructed within the last 13 years so the area is fairly new by all construction standards.  Many of the nation’s top home builders have built homes in this premier community.
